Wood Chopping

Thumping grinding pounding noise
Wood screams, torn apart
Shrieking whine of axe on grain
Slicing aggression ripping through flesh
Smashing knots
Chips fly and settle
Beads of resin seeping out
Dripping sap like blood
Staining earth from whence it came

  1. I like the analogy of the wood screaming. This is what I have every day in my head. This is a good poem Stew.
