I Sit Alone In A Crowded Bar

I sit alone in a crowded bar
Full of people playing
Strutting for the crowd
Exposing the feathers of youth
And needing to find a friend
With which to explore
The lusts of youth and love
Passionate drinking and talking
Dancing like peacocks strut
Exposed midriff tanned
Ankles adorned and teetering
On spikes of leather and wood
Boys admiring and wanting
Talking and buying drinks
Smile of uncertainty
And subdued asking for numbers
Promises to phone and arrange
Back to the music and drinking
Trying to remember today
That life is good and fun
And still I watch and learn
