Summer wind ruffles soft down
Chicks newly hatched struggle
Competing for mothers food
Soothed bellies now huddled
Soon to grow and learn to fly
The leap of faith and tumbling
Spread of wings new formed
Floating on airstreams cushion
Flying, learning and testing
Now diving to snatch at fish
Settling at cliffs edge
Then racing beyond the clouds
Soaring on currents of summer wind
