Rain falls in sheets
Runs fast down the drive
To pool in the already flooded gutter
Inside a boy and a girl
Trying to work out how this thing works
Making sense of this love and chaos
Learning to co exist
Giving and holding back from
Committing everything
Wanting and needing to share
Yearning to be okay together
Struggling with issues both seen
And unseen in the beauty of couples
Talking through stuff
Hugs and laughter

Used to living alone
